What is the Goa Majhe Ghar Scheme
The Goa Majhe Ghar Scheme is a housing scheme launched by the Union Home Minister, Mr. Amit Shah. Under this scheme government covers all the homes existing before 1972, and the government charges on these houses at ₹25 per sqm. The government provides 50% of the lowest circle cost of those houses which were built between 1973 to 1986. Those houses which is built between 1987 to 2000 government provides 75% of the minimum circle rate. Under this scheme, all the residents of Goa can receive up to 400 sqm on government land.
Main Purpose Of the Goa Majhe Ghar Scheme
The main purpose of the Goa Majhe Ghar Scheme is to provide regularisation for more than 50,000 houses across the state to all the eligible residents of Goa. Under this scheme government aims to provide land at minimum circle rates. Through this scheme government provides two types of land, such as government land and commercial land, to all the eligible beneficiaries. All the residents of Goa will receive the 400 sqm with a two-meter buffer and the plinth area in government land, and all the residents who have commercial land, so the same rates apply; the government also adds the penalty of 20%.
