About Kalaignar Magalir Urimai Thogai Scheme
The Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, Mr. MK Stalin, has announced this effective women empowerment initiative named Kalaignar Magalir Urimai Thogai Scheme on 15th September, 2023. Under this scheme, the Government aims to provide financial aid to all the eligible females across the Tamil Nadu State. The Authorities will provide financial help of INR 1000 to all the female heads of the family eligible under this initiative.
With the help of this initiative, the females will become financially independent, and they do not have to depend on anyone for their daily needs and expenses. As per the reports stated by the Officials, the Government has allocated a financial budget of INR 12,000 crore for the implementation of this initiative’s first phase.
